Hair haul:

I came across this amazing bundle offer on Boots by Lee Stafford. It's the hair growth range 'for hair that never grows past a certain length' phew that's a mouthful.

You get two shampoo's, two conditioners and two hair treatments.
I have used the shampoo and hair treatment before, it gave my hair the kick start in growth it needed when I started to grow my pixie cut type hairstyle out. I noticed the treatment made hair fallout a little less, and that's the main reason I am using it again, and I want to add some more inches to my hair. My hair is stubborn and takes its time growing.

I have friends that can have their hair cut into a bob, and in 6-8 months time its back way past their shoulders and beyond. Mine on the other hand would need years for that. I'm not too far away from my goal now, but it has been a long long time. I will kick my hairs ass with this bundle =] it better watch out.

This does have quite a strong perfume smell to it, a bit headachey really, so if you don't like strong smelling products, this isn't for you. The smell takes me back to being in high school when I used the heat protectant.

This set was £25, and you save just over £20. It's so worth it. I couldn't miss out on a deal like that! It's expensive and every saving helps. Buy it here .

That's all for hair, I have a makeup haul coming up next.

Spontaneous hair purchase:

I was out with my friends for dinner/lunch today, and I had a spare bit of money on me. we had a mooch around Superdrug and I saw the L'Oreal Paris Elvive Fibrology thickening shampoo, conditioner and hair masque on offer for half price. I didn't pick up the large sizes, just the average ones in case I don't like it for some reason. We've all been there when you purchase a huge shampoo and conditioner, and you really want to get rid of it for various reasons and its never ending. So i just picked up the 250 ml versions. The masque came in just one size which is 300 ml.

I saw a few good reviews on it, and with having fine hair (in my opinion its fine), I'm always looking out for products that make hair look thicker and bouncier. I'm always using dry shampoo's and various other products to attempt to boost my lifeless hair. With my hair being due for a cut it always just hangs there really lank and lifeless. Wouldn't it be great if this did the trick, cant wait to give it a try!

About the Shampoo:

  • The shampoo penetrates and instantly expands hair
  • Gives hair 80% more body and bounce
  • The ingredient that works its magic is called Filloxane which penetrates the hair fibre and expands it
  • This substance remains in the hair fibre and increases after each application so hair looks thicker wash after wash (oooo really, sounds great!). It has a long lasting effect

Conditioner:

  • It states the same as the shampoo

Masque:

  • Its texturising and protects hair
  • Contains a concentrated serum which intensely nourishes the hair fibre without weighing it down
  • Maximises the thickening effect of the shampoo and thickness booster
  • It's lightweight and a easy to rinse formula
  • Leaves hair lusciously soft, full of body and bounce
  • Hair is texturised and protected from damage caused by brushing and styling

I'm really looking forward to testing this out, could this be the end of my fine hair? lets hope so!

Have you tried these products out and noticed a difference in your hair? would love to hear your thoughts. See you all soon,

Hair product haul/review:

A while back I picked up some cheap hair products from ASDA, a shampoo and hair mask. I also picked up the same brand (no specific name) gift set containing a shampoo, conditioner and hair treatment. I'm not sure how much this set cost me, but the other products only cost me £1 each!

Here are the first two hair products that I purchased- shampoo and hydrating hair mask. I've enjoyed using these, but if you have oily hair be careful! I tend to use the shampoo twice, as once never seems enough to eliminate all the grease in my hair, its a nightmare having oily hair at times. Sometimes the day after washing it grease has already started to appear, and I wash my hair every other day, sometimes on the 3rd day if I'm lucky. In between washes I just use my dry shampoo.

So once I've washed my hair twice giving it a good lather up, I then squeeze all the excess water out of my hair (says to towel dry, but I don't want to be climbing out the shower until the end) and then apply my hair mask. I love this hair mask, its very thick but has a strong smell which reminds me a bit of chocolate lime sweets smell, mainly a strong lime smell. It's strong and can be quite a headachey smell, but if you don't mind that then its fine! It says to leave in hair for 7-10 minutes but I never have time for that, so I try and aim for 5 mins, once I managed about 7 mins. It definitely hydrates your hair, and seems to help keep the ends of my hair in shape. Again if you have oily hair keep it away from your roots, it does say to apply at the roots, but I don't. It's perfect for dry hair if your in need of some moisture.

This is the consistency of the hair mask, you can see how thick it looks.

And this is the gift set. It contains the shampoo again, conditioner (which I hadn't tried before), and the Hair treatment. I haven't used these as much as the first two products I purchased. The conditioner obviously isn't as rich as the mask, so is much more suited to everyday use.

Here is the information about the conditioner:

  • Contains moroccan argan oil extract
  • rejuvenates and rehydrates leaving hair shiny, smooth and healthy
  • its cleansing and nourishing
  • for all hair types
  • helps with moisture and softness along with manageability
  • and to leave it on for 3-5 minutes

Information about the hair treatment:

  • contains moroccan argan oil extract
  • its an intensive hydrating treatment
  • repairs and rejuvenates
  • leaves hair shiny, smooth and healthy
  • you apply this to towel dried hair without rinsing

This feels like an oil, it says to use 2-3 drops on the hair, and 4 to 5 drops for longer hair. I only used one drop to put on my ends, and my ends felt amazing. Due to my hair being oily I wouldn't put this allover my hair, only where I need it most.

I would rate the shampoo an 7/10, the hair mask a 9/10, the conditioner a 7/10, and the hair treatment a 9/10. This range is so inexpensive, I would recommend it to people on a budget as I know how expensive argan oil products can be. It definitely does what it says on the tin, and adds moisture. It works well for my hair, but it would be really beneficial for those with dry hair.

I will be back with more reviews soon, see you later,

Mini haul/review:

Hey guys! I'm back with a mini haul, I say mini because there's only a few items. I'm expecting a delivery very soon, and that will be next on my list when it arrives.

So I went into Matalan earlier and spotted a rucksack bag with studs on (remember I love studs) and was instantly attracted.

The features include:

  • Its a decent size bag in a faux leather material
  • Has a studded panel at the front with a zip above
  • It also has two zips on either side of the bag with another two storage areas
  • It has a drawstring on the main entrance point and  a flap over it, with a little buckle
  • Inside it has another zip pocket with a mobile phone holder
  • The inside is plain black
  • And two adjustable straps on the back
I love this bag, and it was only £15 which isn't too bad. This little fashion bargain can be integrated into my wardrobe with ease as black goes with everything. I will definitely get my money's  worth out of it.

Next up I picked up my fave dry shampoo/backcombing spray from ASDA. Its the VO5 plump it up dry backcombing spray. Last time I bought it is was on offer at 2 for £5, but this time it was on a 3 for £7. So I purchased three of them. It retails at £3 on its own.

About:

  • It doesn't specifically say 'dry shampoo' anywhere in the description, but it definitely works as one. Although it does say it can be used as a 'pick me up style recativator'. My hair gets greasy quite quickly, and it targets my oil successfully.
  • It doesn't seem to leave a white powdery finish like batiste can sometimes do. Once massaged in and combed through it vanishes.
  • It does the job well with no stickiness. I tried one of those hair powders once which add volume, but my hair and fingers ended up feeling sticky, not a nice feeling.
  • On the back it also explains that it can be used as a backcombing spray 'Backcombing effect, but without the mess & less damage' which I think is great. I hate backcombing my hair, I can never get it to look right and trying to brush it out is a nightmare (my hair already gets tangled).
  • It certainly gives it more lift and makes it look thicker, I have fine hair that tends to just look flat and lifeless. You spray it in, massage your scalp with fingertips and that's it your ready.
  • In the ingredients list it has collagen added into the mixture.
This is by far my fave dry shampoo/hair plumper that I will continue to buy. Its a staple hair product for me.
I'd rate this  9/10. Bargain beauty buy.

Coming up I have a haul and some reviews. I will post as soon as my delivery arrives.

See you all soon
