Hair haul:

I came across this amazing bundle offer on Boots by Lee Stafford. It's the hair growth range 'for hair that never grows past a certain length' phew that's a mouthful.

You get two shampoo's, two conditioners and two hair treatments.
I have used the shampoo and hair treatment before, it gave my hair the kick start in growth it needed when I started to grow my pixie cut type hairstyle out. I noticed the treatment made hair fallout a little less, and that's the main reason I am using it again, and I want to add some more inches to my hair. My hair is stubborn and takes its time growing.

I have friends that can have their hair cut into a bob, and in 6-8 months time its back way past their shoulders and beyond. Mine on the other hand would need years for that. I'm not too far away from my goal now, but it has been a long long time. I will kick my hairs ass with this bundle =] it better watch out.

This does have quite a strong perfume smell to it, a bit headachey really, so if you don't like strong smelling products, this isn't for you. The smell takes me back to being in high school when I used the heat protectant.

This set was £25, and you save just over £20. It's so worth it. I couldn't miss out on a deal like that! It's expensive and every saving helps. Buy it here .

That's all for hair, I have a makeup haul coming up next.

Just a little haul:

Hey guys! Hope you all had a fab New Year, cant believe how its flying already. I'm back with a haul for you.

You cant really see this all that well but, it's a pretty £2 necklace from Primark. It's gold with little gems  running all the way across, with a little zig zag pattern underneath. It also has a blue string plaited in with the chain. I loved it and its a bargain, a must have if you like your statement necklaces, and its not over the top.

Moving on to beauty. First up from the left is a V05 smoothly does it shine spray, which is also a heat defence product. Then the tea tree facial cleansing pads from Superdrug. I've used these for years and they were on a two for one offer. Next we have the Schwarzkopf got 2 b beach matt texturizing salt spray which I haven't tried yet. This would be perfect for summer. And last but by no means least the naturally radiant brightening renewal face mask from Superdrug.  I've used another product from this range and I love it. It does state its not for sensitive skin so I would definitely not recommend it if you do, I've used this once and I got a small rash on my face. So be careful. It's a once a week treatment and was half price.

That's all for the time being, but I do have a home-ware haul coming up shortly.

Tesco Purchase:

Hello, picked up a few items whilst shopping in Tesco.

This playsuit was on the sale rack for £10 instead of £20. I thought it looked sophisticated, dressy and more expensive than it was. It's chiffon material with a concealed zip to the back with added lace detail. Bargain!

I'm short on dry shampoo, so picked up this half price- £1.99 instead of £2.99. It's specifically for coloured hair and, uses the phrase 'ignite my colour'. Will give this a go and see what happens. I usually get batiste, but fancied a change.

That's all folks,

Hair haul:

Hello there! I recently purchased some hair products from Superdrug.

First up we have these VO5 cherish my colour shampoo and conditioner, which were on offer for 2 for £6. These are the 500 ml versions.

I have been wanting to dye my hair for a while, and decided on red (mango copper burst). Most of my hair was my natural colour with just the ends being dyed dark brown. These were on buy one get one free. This is Superdrug's own brand.

As its such a hassle dying my own hair I picked up this tinting brush which made things a little easier.

This is the final result, and as you can see the brown dye is very much noticeable. I'm not too worried about it as it will be cut out shortly. My roots took really well to it. I may dye it again to see if it will make a bit more of a difference.

Update: I have now dyed my hair a second time. I think it looks more vibrant and more of the colour I was looking for.

I will add all of the links shortly in case anyone is interested.

That's all for now, see you shortly,

Superdrug haul:

I'm back already, I have a Superdrug haul this time. Lets get straight into it!

As I was taking the picture the little white tub rolled, but its just the Superdrug coconut oil. I have used this before and loved it. I ran out a while ago. I use this on my hair mainly as an overnight treatment. I have a problem with hair fallout and slow hair growth. This helps a lot in my personal experience. It may not work for others, but it did for me. It stops my hair falling out as much and I noticed my hair grew a little quicker when I worked this into my roots (massaging the area) around two-three times a week. It can be messy, and take a while to wash out but I think its worth it. I absolutely love it. I will never go back. Link here: Superdrug coconut oil

I've used the Batiste dry shampoo XXL volume in the past (when I was blonde) so thought I'd try it out with darker hair, and it definitely did give me an oomph in the past along with livening the hair up in between washes. Link here: XXL dry shampoo

Blend perfection foundation sponge by cosmopolitan-I've used a few cheapish versions of these sponges before, and saw this one on offer and thought I'd give it a go. It wasn't too expensive anyway, but the offer price really attracted me to it. Link here: Cosmopolitan blend perfection sponge

I've been obsessed with skincare for a while now, even more so in the past year or two. I've been wanting to try a face oil for some time, and I saw this one by Superdrug's B. range. This is a little bit pricey, but it was on offer so I had to have it. Although this product is stated for people in their 30's and 40's I saw no reason why I couldn't give it a whirl. This one is the B.replenished antioxidant boost which includes vitamin E and C, Rosehip oil, Argan oil, and Crambe seed oil. I think I am going to enjoy this tremendously as I've applied it once before going to sleep and I noticed my skin looked a little bit brighter. Hopefully this will bring good results. Link here: B.Replenished facial oil

I also purchased the Manuka Doctor age defying eye cream. This has Manuka honey and purified bee venom. I am looking forward to trying this out. Link here: Manuka Doctor eye cream

Last but not least I thought I would include a lip balm from Primark. Its £1 and I got it in pineapple flavour. I was pleasantly surprised after one application, I struggle with dry lips most of the time no matter what I do. I applied this once and about an hour or so later I noticed my lips were a lot less dry after it wore off.  Amazing for a really for a cheap lip balm.

That's all for now, have you tried any of these products? did you have good experiences? see you all soon,

Whats in my shower/shower routine:

Hey there, thought I would do something a little bit different for this post. I was intending to get this up lastnight but my laptop was playing up and wouldn't recognise my SDHC card, no idea why! But it worked tonight.

Ignore the wetness, I just literally had a shower before I took this picture, so everything's well...wet lol! I was going to do this a while ago, but got the urge to do it lastnight.

  • So first up I use the St Ives apricot scrub, this ones for blemished skin, but I much prefer the original. I have been using this for ages, and its lasted so long. I love a good face scrub, and I use this at least once a week, sometimes twice. I've been using apricot scrubs since I was a teenager specifically for my acne.
  • Then I'll follow up with my Anew Vitale face wash by AVON, as you can see this sample size is lasting a while, and I try not to over use it, but I will use it everytime I shower.
  • I'll shampoo with my Elvive fibrology shampoo and then apply the conditioner. Sometimes I'll use the Elvive Fibrology mask instead of the conditioner or sometimes both, I only focus that on the very ends if I need it. Whilst the conditioner is soaking in I'll put my body scrub on. The one I'm using at the moment is the planet spa one by AVON (review coming up soon).
  • I'll apply the body scrub everywhere, but focus on my legs and arms. I like to do this once a week, I also love a good body scrub.
  • Then I'll follow up with a body wash/shower gel, I have quite a few which I switch around often, right now I have been using the Katy Perry Killer Queen one that I got in my gift set.
  • Once I'm out of the shower I'll sometimes apply a body lotion, after this shower I put on the matching Katy Perry Killer Queen body lotion.
  • Moving onto hair I'll either put on my argan oil serum (which I have talked about before) on the very ends of my hair or I'll put the Phil Smith argan oil cream into the ends and work it in (I'll put this from my ears down). I'll either blow dry my hair and style it or leave it to air dry if I'm not going out. I left it to air dry last night. This was a sample I got a while ago. It smells gorgeous and leaves your hair smoother and shinier.
  • I put all my face moisturisers on right before I go to bed.
Hope you liked this post. I love a good nosy when it comes to whats in peoples showers, love to know what products people use etc. See you all soon with my next review,

Spontaneous hair purchase:

I was out with my friends for dinner/lunch today, and I had a spare bit of money on me. we had a mooch around Superdrug and I saw the L'Oreal Paris Elvive Fibrology thickening shampoo, conditioner and hair masque on offer for half price. I didn't pick up the large sizes, just the average ones in case I don't like it for some reason. We've all been there when you purchase a huge shampoo and conditioner, and you really want to get rid of it for various reasons and its never ending. So i just picked up the 250 ml versions. The masque came in just one size which is 300 ml.

I saw a few good reviews on it, and with having fine hair (in my opinion its fine), I'm always looking out for products that make hair look thicker and bouncier. I'm always using dry shampoo's and various other products to attempt to boost my lifeless hair. With my hair being due for a cut it always just hangs there really lank and lifeless. Wouldn't it be great if this did the trick, cant wait to give it a try!

About the Shampoo:

  • The shampoo penetrates and instantly expands hair
  • Gives hair 80% more body and bounce
  • The ingredient that works its magic is called Filloxane which penetrates the hair fibre and expands it
  • This substance remains in the hair fibre and increases after each application so hair looks thicker wash after wash (oooo really, sounds great!). It has a long lasting effect

Conditioner:

  • It states the same as the shampoo

Masque:

  • Its texturising and protects hair
  • Contains a concentrated serum which intensely nourishes the hair fibre without weighing it down
  • Maximises the thickening effect of the shampoo and thickness booster
  • It's lightweight and a easy to rinse formula
  • Leaves hair lusciously soft, full of body and bounce
  • Hair is texturised and protected from damage caused by brushing and styling

I'm really looking forward to testing this out, could this be the end of my fine hair? lets hope so!

Have you tried these products out and noticed a difference in your hair? would love to hear your thoughts. See you all soon,

Hair product haul/review:

A while back I picked up some cheap hair products from ASDA, a shampoo and hair mask. I also picked up the same brand (no specific name) gift set containing a shampoo, conditioner and hair treatment. I'm not sure how much this set cost me, but the other products only cost me £1 each!

Here are the first two hair products that I purchased- shampoo and hydrating hair mask. I've enjoyed using these, but if you have oily hair be careful! I tend to use the shampoo twice, as once never seems enough to eliminate all the grease in my hair, its a nightmare having oily hair at times. Sometimes the day after washing it grease has already started to appear, and I wash my hair every other day, sometimes on the 3rd day if I'm lucky. In between washes I just use my dry shampoo.

So once I've washed my hair twice giving it a good lather up, I then squeeze all the excess water out of my hair (says to towel dry, but I don't want to be climbing out the shower until the end) and then apply my hair mask. I love this hair mask, its very thick but has a strong smell which reminds me a bit of chocolate lime sweets smell, mainly a strong lime smell. It's strong and can be quite a headachey smell, but if you don't mind that then its fine! It says to leave in hair for 7-10 minutes but I never have time for that, so I try and aim for 5 mins, once I managed about 7 mins. It definitely hydrates your hair, and seems to help keep the ends of my hair in shape. Again if you have oily hair keep it away from your roots, it does say to apply at the roots, but I don't. It's perfect for dry hair if your in need of some moisture.

This is the consistency of the hair mask, you can see how thick it looks.

And this is the gift set. It contains the shampoo again, conditioner (which I hadn't tried before), and the Hair treatment. I haven't used these as much as the first two products I purchased. The conditioner obviously isn't as rich as the mask, so is much more suited to everyday use.

Here is the information about the conditioner:

  • Contains moroccan argan oil extract
  • rejuvenates and rehydrates leaving hair shiny, smooth and healthy
  • its cleansing and nourishing
  • for all hair types
  • helps with moisture and softness along with manageability
  • and to leave it on for 3-5 minutes

Information about the hair treatment:

  • contains moroccan argan oil extract
  • its an intensive hydrating treatment
  • repairs and rejuvenates
  • leaves hair shiny, smooth and healthy
  • you apply this to towel dried hair without rinsing

This feels like an oil, it says to use 2-3 drops on the hair, and 4 to 5 drops for longer hair. I only used one drop to put on my ends, and my ends felt amazing. Due to my hair being oily I wouldn't put this allover my hair, only where I need it most.

I would rate the shampoo an 7/10, the hair mask a 9/10, the conditioner a 7/10, and the hair treatment a 9/10. This range is so inexpensive, I would recommend it to people on a budget as I know how expensive argan oil products can be. It definitely does what it says on the tin, and adds moisture. It works well for my hair, but it would be really beneficial for those with dry hair.

I will be back with more reviews soon, see you later,

Bargain beauty haul:

Well hello there! This will be another short and sweet haul! I picked these up from the £1 section in ASDA...yep just £1 each!

I haven't tried them yet so I cant tell you how they perform..but for £1 each, if they don't work then its not a big loss. On the other hand they could be fab for the price, so I cant wait to test them out.

An overview of the argan oil shampoo:
  • Argan oil is obviously included into the formula, which we all know is raved about
  • it says it nourishes and moisturises leaving hair shiny, smooth and healthy
  • it's cleansing and hydrating
  • revives hair for soft, shiny results
  • suitable for all hair types

An overview of the argan oil hair mask:
  • its a hydrating hair mask
  • intensive conditioning treatment
  • also cleansing, hydrating, and nourishing (same with the shampoo)
  • its enriched with proteins and keratin
  • helps to revive dry and damaged hair
  • helps rebuild strength and restore elasticity
  • formulated to help improve texture and manageability
  • leaves hair looking healthy and shiny
  • can be used on all hair types
  • you leave this to soak in for 7-10 minutes before rinsing out

I have used a argan oil shampoo and conditioner before, so looking forward to trying this out and reporting back to you guys!

See you soon,
