Superdrug haul:

Yup I'm back with the Superdurg haul I mentioned in my last post. Lets dive straight in, no time like the present.

  • So I picked up a mixture of things including basic everyday things. I got the Bic twin lady shavers, they are cheap and cheerful and work really well. They are cute colours also.
  •  Plump it up dry shampoo by VO5, I need dry shampoo its a must! I also have flat fine hair so anything that gives boost is a must. I usually get the dry backcombing spray but it wasn't on offer, this was.
  • I love the St.Ives face scrubs, so wanted to try this new olive oil face scrub, I need face scrubs.
  • I came across B,Creative face kits, on offer for £9.99 instead of £14.99. I got it for light skin tones. It includes a concealer, highlighter, face powder, foundation and a application sponge. It's fab and cant wait to give it a try, I will pop some swatches down below.
  • I love Sleek, and have been eyeing up the new precious metals highlighting palette. At the time I could not justify £9.99, but now I have it. It has three velvet cream formulas and one powder. The finishes are platinum, royal gold, renaissance gold and antique bronze. It includes a brush. So excited I love highlighters. Again I will post a swatch picture somewhere below.
  • And last but not least dental floss lol, because its essential.

Haul:

Hey guys! I have been collecting some bits these last few days for an upcoming event.

I did some online shopping at Superdrug. First up we have a hair dye, I've gone for the same colour as last time, but wanted to try a different brand. Hopefully this will last a little longer. The colour is mango copper.

Next I decided to try out some fake eyelashes to add a pow to my eyes, even though I have long lashes I wanted to thicken them up without 10 layers of mascara.

I picked up my trusty foundation, Revlon colour stay, but this time I got the normal/dry rather than the oily/combo as I found it slightly drying.

Lastly I wanted a natural coloured lipstick as I'm focusing on my eyes for this special event, I don't want my lips to be overpowering. This one is by Sleek, and is called barely there. It's a sheen finish so my lips wont dry out throughout the day.

These were early birthday gifts from my Mum, as my birthday follows the event and I needed some bits and bobs to fancy myself up a bit.

So I have an apricot scrub, not the one I usually use, but will give this a go. And my usual trusty backcombing spray which doubles up as a dry shampoo.

I also wanted a body shimmer to add a bit of glamour to my skin, and I came across this one by soap and glory, It's very subtle and makes your skin smell nice with the added scent.

I've been meaning to try the seventeen falsifeye mascara so decided to give it a whirl.

Because the event goes on all day I wanted to try another primer that would make my makeup last longer without slipping and sliding around on my face, so this stay time long wear one from seventeen caught my eye. It was the last one on the shelf so it must be good (hopefully).

The theme for the day is purple so I want to incorporate purple nails, this gel effect one from seventeen should do the trick, the colour is 'pretty bang bang'.

I needed a new eyeliner, and went with the big eye liner by Maybelline with the black tip and the white tip to pop on the waterline, to make the eyes appear bigger.

And last but not least Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears, as you know I love her scents. This was on offer in Boots for £10.99 instead of the £22 for the 30ml. Love it.

That's all for now, see you all soon I hope.

Tesco Purchase:

Hello, picked up a few items whilst shopping in Tesco.

This playsuit was on the sale rack for £10 instead of £20. I thought it looked sophisticated, dressy and more expensive than it was. It's chiffon material with a concealed zip to the back with added lace detail. Bargain!

I'm short on dry shampoo, so picked up this half price- £1.99 instead of £2.99. It's specifically for coloured hair and, uses the phrase 'ignite my colour'. Will give this a go and see what happens. I usually get batiste, but fancied a change.

That's all folks,

Superdrug haul:

I'm back already, I have a Superdrug haul this time. Lets get straight into it!

As I was taking the picture the little white tub rolled, but its just the Superdrug coconut oil. I have used this before and loved it. I ran out a while ago. I use this on my hair mainly as an overnight treatment. I have a problem with hair fallout and slow hair growth. This helps a lot in my personal experience. It may not work for others, but it did for me. It stops my hair falling out as much and I noticed my hair grew a little quicker when I worked this into my roots (massaging the area) around two-three times a week. It can be messy, and take a while to wash out but I think its worth it. I absolutely love it. I will never go back. Link here: Superdrug coconut oil

I've used the Batiste dry shampoo XXL volume in the past (when I was blonde) so thought I'd try it out with darker hair, and it definitely did give me an oomph in the past along with livening the hair up in between washes. Link here: XXL dry shampoo

Blend perfection foundation sponge by cosmopolitan-I've used a few cheapish versions of these sponges before, and saw this one on offer and thought I'd give it a go. It wasn't too expensive anyway, but the offer price really attracted me to it. Link here: Cosmopolitan blend perfection sponge

I've been obsessed with skincare for a while now, even more so in the past year or two. I've been wanting to try a face oil for some time, and I saw this one by Superdrug's B. range. This is a little bit pricey, but it was on offer so I had to have it. Although this product is stated for people in their 30's and 40's I saw no reason why I couldn't give it a whirl. This one is the B.replenished antioxidant boost which includes vitamin E and C, Rosehip oil, Argan oil, and Crambe seed oil. I think I am going to enjoy this tremendously as I've applied it once before going to sleep and I noticed my skin looked a little bit brighter. Hopefully this will bring good results. Link here: B.Replenished facial oil

I also purchased the Manuka Doctor age defying eye cream. This has Manuka honey and purified bee venom. I am looking forward to trying this out. Link here: Manuka Doctor eye cream

Last but not least I thought I would include a lip balm from Primark. Its £1 and I got it in pineapple flavour. I was pleasantly surprised after one application, I struggle with dry lips most of the time no matter what I do. I applied this once and about an hour or so later I noticed my lips were a lot less dry after it wore off.  Amazing for a really for a cheap lip balm.

That's all for now, have you tried any of these products? did you have good experiences? see you all soon,

Mini haul/review:

Hey guys! I'm back with a mini haul, I say mini because there's only a few items. I'm expecting a delivery very soon, and that will be next on my list when it arrives.

So I went into Matalan earlier and spotted a rucksack bag with studs on (remember I love studs) and was instantly attracted.

The features include:

  • Its a decent size bag in a faux leather material
  • Has a studded panel at the front with a zip above
  • It also has two zips on either side of the bag with another two storage areas
  • It has a drawstring on the main entrance point and  a flap over it, with a little buckle
  • Inside it has another zip pocket with a mobile phone holder
  • The inside is plain black
  • And two adjustable straps on the back
I love this bag, and it was only £15 which isn't too bad. This little fashion bargain can be integrated into my wardrobe with ease as black goes with everything. I will definitely get my money's  worth out of it.

Next up I picked up my fave dry shampoo/backcombing spray from ASDA. Its the VO5 plump it up dry backcombing spray. Last time I bought it is was on offer at 2 for £5, but this time it was on a 3 for £7. So I purchased three of them. It retails at £3 on its own.

About:

  • It doesn't specifically say 'dry shampoo' anywhere in the description, but it definitely works as one. Although it does say it can be used as a 'pick me up style recativator'. My hair gets greasy quite quickly, and it targets my oil successfully.
  • It doesn't seem to leave a white powdery finish like batiste can sometimes do. Once massaged in and combed through it vanishes.
  • It does the job well with no stickiness. I tried one of those hair powders once which add volume, but my hair and fingers ended up feeling sticky, not a nice feeling.
  • On the back it also explains that it can be used as a backcombing spray 'Backcombing effect, but without the mess & less damage' which I think is great. I hate backcombing my hair, I can never get it to look right and trying to brush it out is a nightmare (my hair already gets tangled).
  • It certainly gives it more lift and makes it look thicker, I have fine hair that tends to just look flat and lifeless. You spray it in, massage your scalp with fingertips and that's it your ready.
  • In the ingredients list it has collagen added into the mixture.
This is by far my fave dry shampoo/hair plumper that I will continue to buy. Its a staple hair product for me.
I'd rate this  9/10. Bargain beauty buy.

Coming up I have a haul and some reviews. I will post as soon as my delivery arrives.

See you all soon

Very first blog post:

Hello guys! Wanted to finally start uploading on here, and thought I'd start by doing a review as its short and sweet and a great introduction. I'm not 100% on how to use this site yet so bare with me =]

Feel free to ask any questions related to my blog posts, I will be happy to get back to you!

I'll start by talking about the batiste dry shampoo as it is a must have for me, due to having oily hair. I usually have to wash my hair every other day or on the 3rd day if I'm lucky. So in between I spritz this little beauty into my hair and it makes me look half decent for the day.
It's good for cutting back on grease, and putting volume into the hair, as my hair type is fine and can be limp at times. I would recommend this and rate it as a 8/10. The vo5 volume one, I think its called 'plump me up' if I remember correctly. It has added collagen - simply amazing, I have recently tried that and it definitely does increase volume. That one is my favorite one by far and that would get a 9 1/2/10.

Olay anti-wrinkle  nature fusion day lotion is next up: this is really good actually, as it hasn't broke me out -I have oily acne prone skin so I have to be careful what moisturisers I put on.
This is perfect for me, makes your skin feel really clean and tingly, and isn't over moisturising and greasy, sinks into the skin easily. Quite impressed with this and I got it on offer. Bargain! 8/10.

Nivea 2in 1 cleanser: I think this is great as its for normal to combination skin, so suites mine fine. I haven't had any problems with it in terms of breakouts, it removes makeup effectively and I feel clean and refresh afterwards. I just massage it into my skin and wipe off with cotton pads, usually the double sided from superdrug/boots/tesco as they don't fluff.

Vitamin E range from superdrug/and boots:
I purchased the eye makeup remover from superdrug's own range, and it does the job ok, doesn't burn or sting, and its gentle for the eye area. I would rate this a 7/10.

The eye cream and face cream are from boots: the eye cream is quite good although my eyes do water and sting a bit, so I tend to put this on at bedtime to stop any from irritating my eyes and its fine then. I haven't really noticed much difference from using it in terms of dark circles etc but I only wanted it to moisturise.  6/10.
The face cream is quite rich, and if I apply it too much or too often it does break me out slightly, so I tend not to use it much. If I feel my skin is a tad thirsty I apply it at night and in the morning my skin is really smooth and soft. 5/10.

Tweezers: these came as a pack of two from ASDA, one is for precise plucking with a pointed tip, these are my favorite as they are better to grip the tiny hairs that can be missed. They are also really cute as they are pink with tiny white polka dots. 8/10.

That's it for my skincare, don''t really need to go into detail about deodorant =] thank you for taking the time to read my review and hope you liked it. <3
